Aid in maintenance of gnotobiotic and SPFÂ mouseÂ lines used in preclinical experimentation.
Help design/assist with animal experiments, including gnotobiotic and specific pathogen freeÂ mouseÂ linesÂ with a diverse team of investigators, including graduate students, Post-Docs, and Senior Scientists.
MouseÂ handling and husbandry.
Genotype/screenÂ mouseÂ lines.
Maintain up-to-date electronicÂ mouseÂ census for gnotobiotic and SPF mice.
Serve as liaison betweenÂ the PI'sÂ labÂ groupÂ and the Animal Resource Center staff.
Record findings/results and maintainÂ up-to-date electronic laboratory notebook.
Help with lab maintenance, ordering of supplies, stocking shelves, clean up.
Applies research principles and relevant subject matter knowledge relevant to administer a research project. With a moderate level of direction, manages lab and/or research-related duties and tasks. Helps develop, design and conduct research projects according to plan.
Supports data collection and analytical needs of research projects. Conducts literature reviews and helps write reports and manuscripts. Ensures project compliance with different policies, procedures, directives, and mandates.
Performs other related work as needed.
Three years to five years of relevant research experience
Knowledge in relevant scientific field.
Knowledge of research techniques or methods relevant to the lab (using pH meeting, cell culture, working with microbial cultures, animal experimentation and tissue harvest, DNA/protein/RNA extractions, PCR, etc).
Attention to detail.
Verbal and written communication skills.
