• Conducts physical audits and rounds within healthcare facilities to ensure compliance with medical equipment management practices.
• Collaborates on the provision of performance reports through analysis and review of department service work order performance data.
• Evaluates medical equipment service records to verify proper documentation of preventative maintenance procedures and use of standardized reporting for equipment performance measurements.
• Develops, manages and administers an integrated Compliance, Quality and Risk program. This includes the review, update and maintain existing policies and standard operating procedures within the Medical Equipment Management Plan.
• Ensures compliance with CMS standards and accreditation requirements for DNV or TJC by examining and analyzing CE department performance reports, SOPs, work instructions, and other documentation, making recommendations for additions, modifications, or deletions as appropriate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Electronics Technology
• Five years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician or similar role within healthcare technology management industry.
• Five years of experience in ISO environment and familiarity with accreditation agencies

• Certifications from AAMI (Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation) Biomedical Equipment Technician certification (CBET) or Certified Quality System Manager (CQSM)

The Quality Manager is accountable for the development, management, and administration of an integrated Compliance, Quality and Risk program. This includes Clinical Engineering Operations and the Medical Equipment Management Program within AdventHealth. Responsible for developing and maintaining a compliance strategy that is responsive to the continuous changes in the organization and corporate structure while maintaining a close customer-responsive relationship. Ensures departmental compliance with codes and regulations of the following organizations; Centers for Medicare Service(CMS), Det Norske Veritas(DNV), Joint Commission and International Standards Organization(ISO). Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
