Under limited supervision, interacts with engineers to perform assembly, testing, programming, repairing and troubleshooting of components, evaluation boards and test fixtures
Develops comprehensive and conclusive test reports and test procedures.
Carries out in-depth electrical, mechanical, and optical troubleshooting to the component level
Assist engineers with soldering and reworking electronic circuits, including fine pitch components and BGAs, and various types of cables – customized to meet various application.
Create and maintain inventory of all engineering equipment and tools as assigned
Assist the quality department with maintaining calibration standards of all engineering equipment in house as assigned
Support engineers and project managers in various technical activities related to design and technical product development
Assist engineers in the creation of new evaluation assemblies
Study and review schematics, wiring diagrams, PWB artwork and engineering instructions for testing, repairing and analyzing circuits
Assist Regulatory department in coordinating equipment handling and tracking for on-site calibration as needed
Assist engineers in programming and maintaining engineering development board inventory and status log
Fabricate and improve Engineering development test fixtures as needed
Maintain inventory of lab equipment, tools and test fixtures
Create test reports of recorded data to assist engineers
Order and deliver hardware to engineers required for laboratory or field testing as assigned
Assist engineers with schematic capture as instructed
Assist engineers with PEC and EC releases as necessary
Will spend part of his/her time as a member of continuous improvement teams undertaking projects and seeking ways to improve the quality and/or the efficiency of KSI’s products and services.
