The Biomedical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the Biomedical Engineering department meets all regulatory standards, including preventive maintenance and repairs for all Clinical/Patient related equipment at Ambulatory Clinics and Practices. The Supervisor will be responsible for staff supervision. The Supervisor will assist/support the Biomed Manager in all Biomed related affairs.Â

The Supervisor will respond to after-hours urgent service needs on medical equipment in case of emergency.

Minimum Education:An AA degree in Biomedical Electronics/Electronics or Bachelorâs Degree in related field is required.Minimum Experience/Knowledge:7 years working experience in the field with a minimum of 3 years in a medium sized hospital as a Lead Biomedical Technician or as a Biomed Supervisor. Knowledgeable of all aspects of Biomedical Engineering. Knowledge of State, Federal, Local and Joint Commission codes and standards applicable to the functions of the department is required. Required License/Certification: CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) by AAMI preferredFire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
