The Laboratory advances the fields of fusion energy and plasma physics research to develop the scientific understanding and key innovations needed to realize fusion as an energy source for the world.
An Associate NB Cryogenics Operator is able to operate and maintain the Neutral Beam 1070 Watt Helium Refrigerator and additionally operate, inspect, repair, troubleshoot and maintain associated Neutral Beam mechanical systems and equipment. Provide coverage for 24/7 operation including required overtime, night shift, weekend and holiday coverage as needed.
Under close supervision, performs tasks that require basic knowledge and skills related to operation and maintenance of Neutral Beam mechanical systems. Follows various Laboratory procedures and applies PPPL prescribed standard technical practices and principles. Responsibilities
