The Electronics and Instrumentation Technologist will manage electronic, electrical, and computer resources that support the academic and research missions of the Ralph E. Martin Department of Chemical Engineers. Primary duties will focus on identifying and installing appropriate electronic equipment for data acquisition and process control, instrumentation repair, electrical wiring for instrument power sources, and electrical safety. Soldering and basic circuit construction skills are required to carry out duties. The Electronics and Instrumentation Technologist will assist in other duties as required including the planning of departmental technology needs and completing yearly inventories. In house training will be provided for software management, and external professional development opportunities will be supported as needed.
