The mission of the IU Bloomington Facility Operations is to operate and maintain a high-quality physical environment to enhance student learning, faculty teaching and research. We serve other non-academic departments, and we support the University's service to the community and citizens of Indiana.

Monitor Control Panel building automation systems. Recognize and respond to problems, including calling out emergency personnel, answering customer requests, dispatching staff and contacting other departmental representatives. Maintain daily Control Panel log. Create service requests. Check out keys and temporary parking permits.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to operate computers, including Windows, MMS, Outlook, building automation and alarm systems. Ability to use two-way radios, phones and emergency elevator phone systems. Ability to multitask in a team work environment. Detail oriented. Excellent interpersonal skills.
One year of building maintenance experience. Prior work in facility control systems, building automation systems, HVAC and electrical systems, building maintenance/construction.
Working Conditions / Demands
This position requires almost constant visual work, with occasional reaching and fingering. Most time is spent indoors.
