After the initial training period, this role will likely settle into an 11am-7pm shift. As member of the 24x7 critical facilities team, this role will, at times, need to be on call and provide support to other shifts. This role is in downtown New York, near the financial district.
This position will be responsible for "hands-on" day-to-day operation of a 24/7 data center that includes administrative office space. The facility incorporates state of the art redundant power and environmental systems.
This position is responsible for?Customer, Network and Data Center Facility support for Sabey Data Center?(IGM)?Operations,?basic?troubleshooting of?electrical / mechanical equipment, and?monitoring?building control systems.?
This role operates in a 24/7 environment which requires flexibility to work any shift?and be available for an on-call rotation.??
The individual will be a self-starter and must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.??
Specifics of the role:
Develop and maintain project work plans, estimates, and schedules for a small project or multiple concurrent projects.?
Manage and document facilities work orders and customer service requests.?
Manage vendor activities, monitor progress to ensure objectives are achieved.?
Provide support for a variety of projects within the Data Center.?
Interact with Data Center Management, Property Management, and Staff on project efforts?
Develop and maintain operational process, procedures and as-built drawings.?
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing as required for customer interaction?
The candidate will be called upon to execute MOPs and EOPs, to participate in the training program, and other duties as assigned.??
Uses monitoring applications in conjunction with ticketing systems to support customers and data center operations teams?
Continual observation and monitoring of data center.?
Conduct triage and provide Level 1 support for trouble calls.?
Provide Weekend and afterhours On-call service in support of Data Center customer needs.?
Provide Local hands on support for the Sabey Technology team and Sabey IT as needed.?
Monitor maintenance activities and?work with the Sabey Operations Center to notifications are sent in a timely and consistent manner.??
Follow documented processes and procedures and suggest changes and improvements.?
Perform remote hands services for Sabeycustomers?

Experience you must bring:
High School diploma or GED required?
Some background in IT / Network support or willingness to learn?
Competencies you’ll have:
?General facility maintenance and operations skills?
?Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Microsoft Project?
Ability to respond promptly to on-call situations?
Excellent time management skills – ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects?
Advanced knowledge of the English language – excellent written and verbal comprehension and expression?
Ability to work independently and on a team?
Working knowledge of IT and networks?
