In your role of Field Installer/Technician, you will help improve the lives of our clients by creating incredible technology systems in homes and business in Orange County and beyond. Do these Qualifications describe you? - You have 2+ years low-voltage installation experience – home or commercial audio/video, security, surveillance, access control, automation, cabling, data/communications.
- You have 2+ years experience working with control systems such as Crestron, Lutron, Savant, AMX, QSC or similar ecosystems.
- You’ve attended InfoComm.
- You are skilled at using hand tools, toners, network testers, etc.
- You are skilled at reading and working from schematics, technical blueprints and construction plans.
- You are skilled at troubleshooting and repairing low voltage signals.
- You are skilled at problem-solving. When challenges arise, you come up with creative solutions to get the job done.
- You have at least a basic understanding of data networking and circuitry.
- You love to learn new systems, hardware and software. You take initiative to expand your knowledge in these areas.
- You do “techy” things in your personal time such as studying new technology, building your own projects, experimenting with systems, and breaking things to learn how to fix them.
- You have a strong work ethic. You are diligent and focused in your work. You work efficiently in an independent environment with minimal supervision and direction, as well as with a team.
- You are reliable, dependable and trustworthy. Integrity is a fundamental part of who you are.

These are some of the Responsibilities you’ll have in this role. - Installation of low-voltage wiring, electronic and networking components, racking systems, displays/TVs, projectors, speakers, cameras, security systems, access control systems
- Termination of network/data cabling, CAT6, coax cable, etc
- Basic programming of electronic components/systems
- Troubleshooting/service of all aforementioned systems
- Working in homes, commercial buildings, outdoors, on construction sites and in unfinished spaces
- Lifting and moving heavy objects, including equipment, tools, ladders and scaffolding
- Climbing and working on ladders and scaffolding, including standing and kneeling for extended periods
- Climbing, crawling and working in small, confined, tight spaces, including attics and crawl spaces
- Digging and trenching at times to install underground components
- Working flexible hours and traveling to remote locations at times based on project needs, including mornings, evenings or weekends
