The successful candidate will have responsibility for establishing and managing experiments and conducting laboratory, greenhouse and field research at the university research farm as well as on farmers' fields. Investigations will involve the production of industrial hemp in North Carolina. Ability to work with small growers. Under the direction of the PI plan and organize experiments and logistics, data collection, and data analysis; interpretation of the results, producing summary reports in MS Word and summary presentations using MS PowerPoint; assist in writing quarterly research reports, annual research project summaries. Assist in the preparation of manuscripts for publication in scientific journal. Requires good oral communication skills.

Master's or Bachelor's degree preferably in Entomology, Crop Science, Plant Pathology, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant research experience.
