Under the general supervision of a physician or designated supervisor, this position is a key member of the team that provides optimal healthcare to patients. The position supports physicians and other care providers to deliver patient-centered care and may also assist with clerical duties.
LPN Minimum Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license, motor vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
Ability to navigate electronic medical records and web based applications.
Highly effective communication skills.
One year of prior work experience involving direct patient care.
One year of prior experience working as an LPN.
Completion of one of the following:
Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania OR current temporary licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, with successful completion of NLCLEX – LPN within 60 days of hire.
Graduate of a recognized Practical Nursing program.
LPN Preferred Qualifications:
Physician Practice nursing experience preferred but not required.
Medical Assistant Minimum Qualifications:
Fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
Ability to operate various office and medical equipment.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Two years of work experience in an ambulatory care or hospital setting and completion of a healthcare related educational training program.
Two years of direct patient care experience in an ambulatory care or hospital setting.
Military training as a Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic or Medical Services Technician.
Current enrollment in a recognized Medical Assistant program and Certification as a Medical Assistant.
Graduate of a recognized Practical or Registered Nursing program.
Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
Completion of one of the following:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Medical Assistant Preferred Qualifications:
One year experience performing phlebotomy and EKGs.
