Warren Wilson College is looking for an experienced, professional locksmith with the right experience and aptitude to oversee campus wide rekeying and security access projects on our campus. This position will also supervise and lead student workers in this capacity. The successful candidate will possess at least 7 years of experience in an Access Controls position, coupled with previous supervisory experience. Ideal candidates will possess certification as an Electronic Access Control Technician, the ability to mentor and teach student workers in a manner that motivates and encourages their personal and professional growth, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with various constituents, and engage effectively with diverse populations and personalities in a college setting. This position is a regular, full time, exempt position, scheduled to work 40 hours per week, with some irregular working hours, as needed. POSITION SUMMARY Provides technical coordination and client liaison in the implementation of major and minor campus rekeying and access security upgrade projects. Creates customer security solutions in accordance with existing access control policies and key coding protocols, ensuring the continued integrity of the College's master key program. Provides technical guidance, oversight and leadership to work crews. The Access Control Supervisor has responsibility for the maintenance of door hardware, locks (electronic & manual) on campus buildings and structures, which includes teaching student crews the skills necessary to repair, maintain and install locks (electronic & manual) and door hardware (provides locksmith services for the campus) The Access Control Supervisor also maintains the master key system matrix, oversees the card key access program(s).
