If you are an experienced repair technician with an electrical, electronics, or IT background in the field of wireless communications, particularly 2-way radios, we want to speak with you. The role of the Field Service Technician is to repair, maintain, install and consult on communications equipment, systems and Networks. The FST will troubleshoot equipment, systems and networks to determine point of failure, discuss operations and issues with customer personnel to determine approved approach and schedule for various activities/solutions. Our primary clientele are first responders, police, fire, EMS. And our primary industry is Land Mobile Radio (LMR), however, in support of these networks we touch many other industries that support them such as microwave, fiber optic and hardwire backhaul networks, DC power systems, generator systems, HVAC and many others. We are currently supporting the upgrade/replacement of the Anne Arundel County Land Mobile RadioSystem, the upgrade/replacement of the Baltimore County Land Mobile Radio System, and the upgrade/replacement of the BGE Land Mobile Radio System. Some of the Duties and Responsibilities of this Role: · Install communications and support equipment in a professional manner, consistent with industry best practices and customer requirements. · Debug systems and networks after installation and/or updates. · Performance testing to check and adjust various system signal levels. · Trouble shoot electronic components to the module level. · Coordinate Wireless and Motorola resources to resolve equipment, system and network issues.
