The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) is seeking a security systems technician to join our end-user physical security team and help safeguard some of Central Texas' most vital infrastructure. The position will be responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance and repair of enterprise-level physical security systems. We are looking for someone experienced in IP-based access controllers, video surveillance and intercom systems. The ability to troubleshoot system problems is a must, and experience with thermal analytics intrusion detection and Physical Security Information Systems (PSIM) is preferred.
What you will do:
Installs, programs, documents, sets up, wires, calibrates, repairs, replaces fire detection equipment and signaling devices used to monitor, detect, indicate, report, or alarm the presence of high temperatures, smoke, or fire, or to contain and control the spread of fire. This includes field instrumentation, interposing relays, signal conditioners, fuse blocks, terminal assemblies and other associated equipment associated with the detection and remote monitoring of facility fire detection.
Installs programs, documents, sets up, wires, repairs or replaces IP video surveillance equipment used to obtain and transmit video signals between various locations. This includes cameras, network video recorders, video management systems, fiber optic transmission, and control equipment.
Uses computer software to generate reports, program systems and produces system documentation
Performs work by traveling independently or with a small crews to various locations as scheduled.

What qualifications you must have:
Four or more years of experience in a combination of installation, configuration, troubleshooting and repair of electronic security and/or monitoring systems.
A degree(s) in electronics or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
What qualifications it would be nice for you to have:
ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification preferred
Industry certifications for access control, video surveillance systems, thermal intrusion detection systems, Physical Security Information System (PSIM), preferred
