Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position will perform corrective and preventative actions for all Residence Hall furnishings. This will also included repairs to facility trim work, case work, and wall coverings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to repair / rebuild wooden furnishings within residents' rooms and common spaces.
Ability to repair / rebuild / replace wooden trim and case work within residents' rooms and common spaces.
Ability to stain / paint repaired components and return to safe, working condition.
Ability to patch and / or replace wall coverings (drywall, paneling, etc.) as required.
Complete and maintain accurate work documentation including electronic work orders.
Perform all activities in a safe manner and adhere to all safety procedures.
Perform other duties, as assigned, during routine zone work, summer blitz, and special projects.
High school diploma or GED equivalency
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in casework/finish carpentry/furniture or related field(s)
Possess and maintain a valid Kentucky Driver's License
Salary Grade: 105 Salary Range: 14.00 - 16.00/hr
