Cellular and Molecular Biology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral fellow in the field of translational medicine using cell and molecular biological approaches. S/he should have profound experience in one or two of the following research areas: adult stem cells or iPS cells; non-coding RNA including lncRNA and microRNA; signal transduction pathway; epigenetic regulation on gene expression; mechanisms of diabetes and osteoporosis; regenerative medicine for bone tissues; experimental pathology of animal disease models; using nano-materials to deliver specific molecules; generation of transgenic and gene knockout mouse lines. The postdoctoral fellow will be working under the supervision of Dr. Jake Chen and supported by his current NIH grants. Dr. Chen's laboratory is located in downtown area of Boston, MA.

The postdoc should have a PhD degree from a renowned lab with publication(s) in highly regarded journals. S/he should be relatively independent and able to generate and propose feasible hypotheses. S/he should have mastered the most advanced techniques and methodology in cell and molecular biology. S/he has excellent composition and writing skills for scientific papers. The postdoc fellow should be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other lab staff including technicians, students and other research fellows.
