High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent. Seven years working with all phases of pneumatic and electric temperature controls, or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
To provide skilled work in pneumatic and electronic controls related to central air conditioning. To answer repair calls and perform preventive maintenance on controls in all University buildings and structures.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to the following: Answer all trouble calls relating to improper temperature. Repair or replace defective equipment of pneumatic or electric thermostats and associated control valves and systems. Performs systematic preventive maintenance and status of all pneumatic equipment. Interpret drawings, schematics, and building plans to locate control problems. Have working knowledge of JOHNSON, POWERS, HONEYWELL, and ROBERTSHAW controls, including the compressed air systems used in the electrical and controls trade. Performs other related duties as assigned.
