The IT Support Consultant provides end-user support services to staff for all desktop technology platforms, mobile devices, and cell phones. Assists the department in evaluating computing needs; configures desktops; installs and upgrades software and hardware components; solves hardware and software problems; identifies and corrects security vulnerabilities and virus infections; maintains office equipment, supplies, and computer peripherals.
The incumbent will perform a variety of technical tasks in the installation, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of computer equipment including: hardware, software, multi-function network printers and related equipment; set up equipment for employee use, perform and ensure proper installation of wired and wireless equipment, operating systems, and approved application software; assist with upgrades to existing hardware and software; provide technical assistance in support of the departmentâ™s electronic communication services, including overseeing the programming, distribution, and maintenance of the departmentâ™s mobile devices. Will perform standard preventative, and corrective maintenance on all IT related office equipment such as printers, copiers, projectors, laptops, audio equipment, fax machines, scanners, iPads, iPhones, etc. Will work with outside vendors and the Facilities Management operations group to monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve Building Automation Systems (BAS) and devices.
Â¨Â Â Â Â Â Â Bachelorâ™s degree and 2 â“ 3 yearsâ™ experience providing desktop computing support, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Â¨Â Â Â Â Â Â Familiarity with Jamf, Apple Configurator, Microsoft SCCM, Google Suite
Â¨Â Â Â Â Â Â Trained in PC workstation repair
Â¨Â Â Â Â Â Â Well versed installing, troubleshooting and updating Network printers, Windows operating systems, Microsoft products, and iOS devices, basic knowledge of macOS
Â¨Â Â Â Â Â Â Experience with the following a plus: Filemaker Pro/Go, HelpSystems Intermapper, Adobe products, Remote Support software
Â¨Â Â Â Â Â Â Must be willing and able to support a diverse and inclusive environment

Â¨Â Â Â Â Â Â Ability to understand and communicate technical issues to non-technical end users; as well as probe to gather pertinent information needed for effective problem resolution
Â¨Â Â Â Â Â Â This position requires average agility and physical condition. Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy materials weighing up to 10 pounds. Work may require sitting, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use, lifting (from floor to overhead), stooping, bending, stretching, walking, standing, reaching, talking, hearing, fingering and grasping.
