Two-way radios, portable radios, mobile radios, base stations, repeater systems.
Digital video recorders
Internet based GPS solutions
Basic scope of the position includes but may expand past these basic requirements:
The desired candidate will be familiar with RF technology including but not limited to Two-Way Radios (Hand-Held, Mobiles, base Stations, Repeaters), system infrastructure such as duplexers, combiners, amplifiers.
Familiarity with RF testing equipment and the ability to troubleshoot / test / repair / and tune equipment.
The ability to generate programming files as per required customer, and system needs.
Programming and testing of old and new equipment.
Provide repair estimates down to component level with required parts & labor.
Strong soldering, and schematic reading skills will be necessary to complete tasks.
A conceptual understanding of networking will also be required and expected in order to fulfill projects.
Radio equipment and technology will include but not be limited to brands such as Kenwood, Motorola, Vertex, Hytera. Conventional, Trunking systems in analog, and digital environments, with digital technology consisting of NXDN (FDMA) & DMR (TDMA).
Troubleshooting on other equipment such as digital video recorders, GPS units, CPI style dispatch equipment etc... may at times be required.
The majority of the work will be at our location, but some will require travel to customers and or tower locations.
The candidate must posses to the ability to efficiently perform tasks while still being precise and detail oriented for quality results.
Good communications skills, an awareness of time management, and willingness to follow company policies are required as well.
