Our Office of Tartan Ink is searching for a Convenience Copier Technician I that will install, maintain and repair multifunctional digital copiers, scanners and printers. Under department supervision and guidelines, you will prioritizes daily, weekly, and monthly work assignments accordingly. In this role, your duties may include clearing paper jams, changing toner cartridges and placing & managing external service calls. You will maintain inventory to ensure continued operation of equipment. You will be responsible for packaging and handling of jobs, including delivery of packages to various campus locations supporting satellite centers and production center. You must have expert-level knowledge of photocopiers and related equipment, as well as moderate computer skills and an understanding of computer networks and software programs. You must also be detailed and mechanically savvy, with the ability to install, disassemble and reassemble copiers and parts. Strong communication and customer service skills are critical to success.
Core responsibilities include:
Maintaining and ordering supplies from the various vendors for Multi-Functional Devices (MFD) and printers. Responsible for receiving, stocking and delivering as needed
Retrieving monthly meter reads electronically and manually for billing purposes for time sensitive deadlines
Tracking inventory of disposable units, removing hard drives and preparing units for disposal
Handling relocation of current MFD units which includes reinstall of the units. These moves can be within the building and/or external.
Handling user codes electronically and manually with department and staff accountant. Respond to customer requests to update address book management system.
Responsible for recycling of toner cartridges for printers and copiers. Picking up empty cartridges & develop strategy for recycling program.
Daily check of toner levels using online web monitoring software.
Working with Property Accounting on tagging new units.
1+ year of relevant work experience
Copier repair experience preferred
Associate degree in electronics and/or Technical school certificate preferred
Current valid PA Driver's License
