POSITION SUMMARY This position will have a major focus on supporting electrical changes, IT system changes and upgrades in a manufacturing environment for project and program initiatives.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Support selection of the most appropriate technologies in projects involving process control technology, the different manufacturing departments, HSE with current GMP standards and global PCT directives • Document the projects, submit the company for approval of investment and manage the relationships in all departments that are involved. • Coordinate and/or execution of project tasks, with internal and external personnel, guaranteeing the functionality, quality and safety of the systems involved • Help coordinate preventive maintenance, according to annual programs, ensuring the functionality, reliability of process equipment, IT systems, electricity, backup systems.. • Define, together with the departments involved, the qualification processes, in compliance with Bayer standards, and local guidelines to guarantee the correct management of processes related to main equipment and auxiliary processes and service systems for IT security and power distribution. • Secure a high availability of the production plant equipment. • Optimization of units and workflows • Identify cost saving potentials • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement through new process control concepts • Work with IT departments to improve production IT security throughout the site. This includes reviewing and updating technologies in the area of: Networking Desktop services Cyber-security
REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES Education Requirement(s): • High School Diploma/GED – Required • Bachelors Degree in technical discipline is required. • 7-10 years experience in a technical discipline and significant depth of knowledge in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or programming logic is preferred.
Skill & Competency Requirements: 3 years of electrical or IT system implementation experience
Preferences: • Exhibit a thorough knowledge of safety procedures. • Exhibit a thorough knowledge and willingness to learn networking • Exhibit a thorough knowledge and willingness to learn software programming • Experience working in an FDA regulated environment. • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability • Ability to organize information using Microsoft office software for management review • Express ides on technical problems clearly and concisely orally or in writing the English language. • Knowledge or ability to learn instrumentation and automation
