This position works in 3D modeling with Inventor, and has the opportunity to work with software including LIDAR scanning, Navisworks, Infraworks, Vault, and Revit.

Job Technical Skills – Responsible for performing technical functions related to GIS/CAD systems to include creating and maintaining documents and records, conducting office and field research, and assisting staff with design projects. Leads large, routine projects with minimal guidance.
Designs technical drawings and maintains related records
Performs updates to GIS/CAD system records and databases utilizing applicable software.
Works with applicable staff through all phases of a project to ensure accuracy of GIS/CAD records and in research and accumulation of records for projects and reports.
Completes field survey of projects, utilizing survey equipment and software.
Communication – Seeking a candidate who expresses self clearly and concisely and ensures communication is understood. Adjusts language and communication style to suit the audience and circumstances. Uses effective body language and gestures that add to the impact of the information communicated. Supports the open expression of ideas and listens attentively to others.

Maintaining Records and Files – Seeking a candidate who understands and implements organization systems for storing written and digital files. Maintains appropriate back-ups of electronic and paper documentation, providing adequately both for normal back-up needs and for disaster recovery. Takes necessary effort to protect security and confidentiality of all records. Complies with applicable laws and company rules pertaining to record keeping, i.e. follows all compliance and privacy laws.
Quality Orientation – The successful candidate understands the organization's standards for quality, waste, and costs, and recognizes and responds to issues. Is attentive for and addresses even small errors or mistakes. Recommends ideas to improve the quality of work of self and others. Balances the need for work quality with quantity and keeping projects within timeline and budget.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree in related field, and
Two years of GIS/CAD or drafting experience, or
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
