The METERING TECHNICIAN provides specialized technical skills and knowledge for meter testing and programming, including AMR and AMI installations. Employee will effectively provide service information to management and consumers, creating goodwill between the Cooperative and its membership.
Experience: Minimum of 6 years in an appropriate field.
Knowledge: The employee must be familiar with the National Electric Safety Code and VEA Materials specifications as they apply to the position must have general knowledge of Microsoft Windows and ability to navigate in a web browser. The employee must develop thorough knowledge of the various software programs used to communicate with and program various electronic meters and power quality devices. Must have working knowledge of AC and DC electrical theory.
