Employment Status: Full-time, temporary "non-exempt" positions (with the possibility of the full-time positions converting to probationary).
Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 9:00am – 5:30pm and Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Salary: Salary is commensurate with experience.

Under direct supervision of the Administrative Services Manager and lead direction of the Credential Analyst II, the Administrative Support Coordinator I will serve as the Program Admissions Technician for the College of Education (C.O.E.) basic teaching credential programs (Education Specialist, Multiple Subject and Single Subject).
The incumbent will be responsible for assisting credential candidates with the submission of the Program Admission File (P.A.F.); verifying completeness of the required P.A.F. documents according the C.O.E. Program, California State University San Bernardino, California State University Chancellor's Office, California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (C.T.C.) policies and regulations; creating and maintaining electronic student files, as well as notifying credential candidates of their admission eligibility via PeopleSoft. The incumbent will update and maintain Program Admission forms and applications; foster and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels of the university and community. The incumbent will collaborate with Program Coordinators and attend program/department meetings.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Applicants must possess the equivalent of three (3) years of experience in general administrative/clerical work.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Applicants must have experience using standard office software programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
Applicants must have a sound foundation in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation, along with a working knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices.
Applicants must have the ability to coordinate and prioritize many different tasks, determine the relative importance of each, set deadlines, and complete projects accordingly.
Applicants must have the ability to accurately maintain records and files.
Applicants must have strong organizational skills, be very detail-oriented, along with the ability to follow directions, take initiative, be flexible, have the ability to multi-task and independently make decisions on a day-to-day basis.
Applicants must have demonstrated the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Applicants must have the ability to draft and compose correspondence.
Applicants must have the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures independently, and use judgment and discretion to act when precedents do not exist, along with the ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to the work area.
Applicants must have the ability to learn, independently interpret, and apply a variety of academic and organizational policies and procedures.
Experience working directly with students.
Experience maintaining records and documentation.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft or a similar platform.
Familiarity with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (C.T.C.) reporting and procedures.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
