Fire Alarm Systems
Selectron Ltd. is a leading provider of fire and security brands in Bermuda. From fire detection and intruder alarm systems to digital CCTV surveillance, access control and gate operators, we provide a full range of innovative products and services to our customers. We are now seeking to recruit a fire and security alarm technician.
The successful candidate will be required to:
Lead the installations and maintenance of complex fire alarm systems which require automation, computer programming and IP support
Provide technical support to the team and assist with trouble shooting and problem solving
Train other members of the team in new products and programming
Candidates must possess a minimum of 8 years relevant experience installing, repairing and servicing all major brands of fire and security systems
Computer programming and networking skills, especially TCP/IP standards is required
Candidates must possess the NVQ in Electrical qualification or a recognized industry qualification such as a certificate in electronics or a related security electronic technology degree or diploma.
A professional designation eg. CFAA or NICET equivalent..
The ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, including experience using programmes such as auotocad
Candidates must have good communication skills to interface with customers and also have the capability to manage projects.
This position will require the successful candidate to be on call 24/7 on a rotational shift basis and as this position also comes with a company vehicle the candidate must possess a clean driver’s license.
