Working directly with clients, defines OTS requirements and develops standards to ensure reasonable consistency across all supported platforms and among departments. Communicates with and solicits input from user communities and other teams to identify next steps. Coaches/trains other team members. A member of a 24/7/365 global department.
Is the “go-to person” in the PC Desktop and/or AV area as required.
May manage projects, either intra-OTS or with customers.
Works with OTS developers to improve user experience.
Assists customers through consultation, diagnosis, and implementation of solutions that are reasonable within resources available and that will leverage existing PC
Desktop and/or AV technologies at the College.
Handles disagreements, conflicts, and unexpected problems in ways that maximize team effectiveness.
Regularly deals with vendors: placing orders, learning of new products and services, gaining diagnostic help. Keeps critical parts stocked, while keeping inventory low.
Possesses complete and specialized knowledge of PC Desktop and/or AV systems as required.
Has significant responsibility for developing improvements and innovations to enhance team’s performance.
Manages their own work tickets as well as the departmental queue
Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
Commensurate with education, experience and qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
ITIL or industry recognized equivalent certification.
At least five years of prior experience in technology or similar field required.
A+ certifications or industry recognized equivalent.
Project + or equivalent. (May consider industry recognized equivalent.)
Experience and education can be substituted for certifications.
