We are looking for an Electronics Technician who will lead develop and maintain the controls Lab using innovative products and have the opportunity to work with new technologies. The ideal candidate will additionally be able to understand and integrate new concepts, show initiative and demonstrate self-sufficiency. The ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment and having an open mind to new ideas are also highly desirable character traits.
Responsibilities: Under general supervision, perform technical tasks related to electronic test systems, documentation and schematics: - Installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of electronic systems used for test equipment in the controls Lab - Installation, inspection, and repair of electrical supply lines from 6V to 220 V AC DC. - Validate alternate/equivalent components. - Responsible for calibration of instrumentation and associated records. Manage calibration schedule. - Perform any adjustments or repairs. Make arrangements with other departments when major repairs are needed that are not within the capabilities of the test department. - Report failures of electronic test systems and instrumentation to the supervisor to assure proper safety procedures are observed during the repair process. - Make recommendations for improving the safety and the efficiency of the test process. - Maintain a clean and clutter free work environment to promote safety and efficiency of the test process. – - Perform other duties within incumbent's abilities. - Effectively communicate technical information verbally and in writing
