Directs the IT strategic planning and implementation for Terminix and ServiceMaster ERP
Formulates strategies in alignment with Enterprise IT Plans and meet the needs of Terminix and ERP function.
Advises senior management on technology strategies.
Leads and educates business leadership and obtains support and alignment within the enterprise.
Oversees the execution and ongoing maintenance of functional strategies.
Leads the business through improved IT and enterprise proposals for new projects and technologies, including agreement on allocations and enterprise strategy.
Provides the Enterprise IT functions with insight into current and future requirements including application planning, technology planning, and volume metrics.
Maintains portfolio management oversight for business and business case development.
Develops and monitors the IT budget and resource allocation for the business.
Allocation management and planning for the Terminix IT and ServiceMaster ERP IT teams
Responsible for obtaining Terminix or ServiceMaster ERP resources including management for planning efforts, operations for requirements gathering and design, and testers for user acceptance testing.
Responsible to ensure Terminix IT and ServiceMaster ERP IT is capturing and reporting benefits for all approved projects (working with the CFO)
Assist in the development, review, and compliance of IT policies and procedures within Terminix and ServiceMaster ERP, including project approval process, signature authority policy, Information security policies and processes, and disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
Terminix Responsibilities, Directs and Supports:
Sales and Marketing for residential and commercial sales including mobile devices and software, product and price systems, lead management, call center applications, web sites, IVR's, commission management systems and reporting capabilities.
Service Management systems including work order management systems, mobile devices and software, routing and scheduling applications, web sites, IVR's, commission management systems and reporting capabilities.
Back-office systems including billing, payment collection, payroll interfaces, vendor management and reporting.
Acquisitions, including software systems and integrating them into our current applications.
Support 300+ local branches including 5,400+ service technicians.
Support remote sales force including 1,200+ sales people.
ERP Responsibilities, Directs and Supports:
IT needs of our corporate functions including HR, Finance and Tax, Sourcing, Legal, and Communications.
HRIS and payroll systems (Workday), their interfaces, and reporting capabilities.
ERP system (JDE) and the GL, AR, and AP functions including the budget process, rollup, and financial reporting for the enterprise.
Procure-to-pay process by providing inventory management, catalog, distribution, and electronic invoicing processes.
Document imaging across the organization.
Directs IT activities for Terminix and the ServiceMaster Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) function. Manages the IT relationship, develops IT strategic plans, and develops and monitors IT budget for these two functions. Determines long-term information needs and participates in enterprise wide strategy for systems development and hardware acquisition and integration. Actively participates in the Terminix Leadership Team and IT Leadership Team and looks for ways to improve business growth, reliability and effectiveness of IT. Reports to the ServiceMaster CIO.
Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
Ten plus years of cross functional (infrastructure and Application Development) IT senior- level experience
Experience with IT strategic planning
Experience managing budgets of $10M - $25M
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Willingness to work flexible schedules.
Proven skills in budgeting, negotiation, planning, and working with third-parties.
Demonstrated ability to relate to all levels of the user community and executive management, be a team player, set and manage priorities, translate complex technical issues into common language, sell solutions and gain alignment, link and apply technologies to business strategies, and lead projects to success without having direct control of all the resources.
