We install fiber optic cables in the ground utilizing directional drills throughout the twin city area. We are not on a bus line so dependable transportation is required.Job Summary: Splicers will perform tasks associated with the electronic upgrade and splicing of Fiber optic and coax cable.Duties: Arrive at location and install equipment on pole or in pedestal using various hand toolsAssemble equipment according to design specificationsTest, activate and troubleshoot equipment after installationMaintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignmentsOperate vehicle and bucket lift properly and safelyPrepare paperwork to track daily production and accurately record completed work on job site prints.
Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or GEDPrevious work experience in the telecommunications fieldMust possess time management skills and meet deadlines5 years’ leadership experienced, Plant map & BiddingMust be analytical, able to exercise good judgment, field safety and apply logical reasoning in seeking solutions to problems.Ability to learn modern technologies as needed to support future systems.Must be open to nights and weekends.Must have current unrestricted driver’s license and dot med card. pass a drug test and 10 years’ background check, lift at least 50 pounds and have a clean driving record for the past three years.All our jobs are full-time, year-round and permanent.
