A specialty technologies company, located south of Pittsburgh, is seeking a Field Service Technician.
Will be responsible for troubleshooting, reporting, scheduling, and performing all necessary repairs and preventive maintenance on electro - mechanical equipment at customer sites in the Greater Pittsburgh/ Southwestern Pennsylvania area.
Develop working knowledge of all operating standards, practices, and procedures
Escalate problems and re-assign calls when appropriate
Accurately report service data
Organize and update technical documentation
Maintain effective communication with the Sales Team and Technician team members
Provide customer contact for all post-installation problems
Be able to travel for training on new and existing equipment and software, 3 or 4 times a year
AS Degree in related field along with strong electro-mechanical aptitude and skills with a minimum of 5 years of technical field service experience.
Must be computer literate
Must be familiar with databases and database integration
Must be familiar with Network Communications
Shift adaptability, including standby work on a rotational basis, and good customer relations skills are necessary
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Must be able to prioritize, comply with processes and quality checklists, and accurately report service data.
Will act as the primary customer contact and must be able to foster good working relationships.
Must be able to organize and inventory stock parts and tools.
Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Customer locations are throughout Western Pennsylvania which may require occasional overnight trips.
Additional Salary Information: Hourly compensation commensurate with experience.
