Opportunities available for Experienced In-Building Wireless Installation Technicians/Foreman for our Largo, Florida (near Tampa) office. Must be willing to live or live within the Tampa, Florida region. Responsibilities will include: Hands-on supervisory/team lead: run our projects, interface with customers and serve as part of the installation team, utilizing previous BTS Build and DAS experience, including solid understanding of wireless networks, including modulation techniques (UTMS, GSM, LTE plus etc.), amplifier/antenna/cable theory, link budgets, propagation tools, etc.). Interface/coordinate with customer, site point of contact, other site contractors and subcontractors. Install wireless systems using any combination of external and internal antennas, coaxial cable, CATV cable, fiber optic cable and other appropriate components to NEC standard at customer job sites. Terminate wall and ceiling mounted components. Assisting in proposal development and project preparation activities as needed. Completing site surveys to troubleshoot and design corrective RF and RF/fiberoptic installations for existing systems with inadequate coverage. Report findings to appropriate staff. Complete job related documentation and record keeping. Oversee safety requirements and provide daily site specific safety training to team (PPE, lift safety, fall protection requirements, etc.) Keep customer and company informed of progress of installation. Communicate with customer and company related to specific safety, local code and company installation requirements. Assist with development of project schedules and materials/subcontractor selections. Mentoring and leading less experienced technicians.
Minimum Requirements 7 years of directly related experience 3 years of experience as a DAS/In-building Wireless installation team leader or supervisor Solid understanding of wireless networks, including modulation techniques (UTMS, GSM, LTE plus etc.), amplifier/antenna/cable theory, link budgets, propagation tools, etc.) Familiarity with common DAS Equipment including Coaxial Cable, Antennas, Splitters, Fiber Cable, etc. Working knowledge of RF test equipment (ie spectrum analyzer) Experience leading crews, coaching less experienced technicians and managing projects Solid skills Microsoft Office Software (particularly Excel) Demonstrated ability to work in a professional manner at all job sites Ability to think analytically and to solve complex problems Ability to drive performance and execute against plan Strong customer service, communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well on a team Demonstrated ability to complete installations independently as projects require All Field Positions Require Ability to: travel to project locations (car or plane) 100% of the week, Monday through Friday. lift upwards of 80 lbs unassisted. repeatedly ascend and descend ladders ranging in height from 6 ft to 14 ft walk continuously throughout the job site while carrying ladders, tools and installation materials work indoor/outdoor with variable conditions (-20/120 f) Preferred Requirements 10+ years of strongly related experience. Related certifications, 2 year or 4 year degree. CAD, IB Wave or equivalent design platform experience Experience developing proposals
