Under the direction of the Agricultural and Engineering Technologies Division Chair, the tenure track Assistant Professor serves as a faculty member at The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute (ATI) within the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University; teaching responsibilities include courses in, but not limited to, engineering technology with a focus on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, power equipment systems, diesel engine control systems, electrical and hydraulic control systems, automation systems, mobile (agricultural and off-road) and/or industrial equipment, and manufacturing; provide academic (course, curricula, assessment) leadership to the Hydraulic Power and Motion Control program, the Power Equipment program, and/or the Hydraulic Service and Repair Certificate program; provide leadership (space needs, equipment maintenance and updating, coordination of lab technician, etc.) to the Engineering Technology laboratory and classrooms; assist Division Chair with identifying, employing, and supervising associated engineering technology faculty; student academic advising, student organization advising, student recruitment, and student job placement; develop functional working relationships with industry and industry advisory committees; participation in professional development and scholarly activity resulting in peer reviewed publications and presentations; and providing leadership/service to the institute, college, university, and professional organizations.
