Advertised Summary Job Description: Reports to the Research Director of the Transplant Clinical Research Center (TCRC). As a member of the TCRC Team, the incumbent will assist the research director and principle investigator(s) in the conduct of clinical research trials and studies. Research projects may involve multi-centered cooperative group studies, single site studies, intergroup studies, industry studies, and investigator initiated studies. The individual who holds this position acts in accordance with all local, state, federal and CUMC IRB policies and procedures.
1.Screening procedures of clinical patients for possible study enrollment; 2.Scheduling appointments for study participants as per study protocol(s); 3.Scheduling hospital tests and procedures; 4.Administering study questionnaires; 5.Perform electronic and paper data entry; 6.Assist investigators with study visits; 7.Transporting and processing research specimens; 8.Work with TCRC regulatory coordinators to ensure all CUMC IRB documentation is maintained in a timely and organized manner; coordinates submissions to ancillary committees as applicable per study protocol 9.Upon completion of training, the Technician B will participate in an "on-call" rotation system with the additional TCRC research personnel for studies where research procedures are required on weekends or after hours. 10.Performs other related duties necessary to the functioning of the research office
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or physics or related science or equivalent in education, training and experience.
