Lead small to medium project teams and mentor less experienced technicians
Provide job site leadership, coordination and communication between other IT departments, contractors, and customers
Perform installation tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner
Act as customer liaison in absence of Project Manager
Pull cabling; install connectors, equipment mounts, and equipment related hardware
Perform mechanical/metal fabrication and equipment rack wiring
Solder and crimp connectors
Perform field installation of AV & IT systems and control programs
Diagnose complex system problems, and identify defective or failed equipment
Test integrated system and train others on use
Test and calibrate equipment
Ensure equipment and room functionality
Provide documentation for projects as needed
Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blue prints
Deliver equipment associated with projects
Provide end-user support for meetings requiring Videoconference/AV services
Bachelor's degree in electronics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired, is necessary
Two years of work experience in experience in commercial audio visual installations that included projectors, screens, displays, wiring, cabling, computer controls, and rack-building or related experience is necessary -or- Five years of work experience in residential that included home theaters, structured wiring and Smart house designs is necessary
Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) Certification is Preferred
Possession of other industry certifications such as AMX, Crestron, or Extron Installation certification is preferred
