Primary Responsibilities: •Optimization and support of complex communication systems •Provide technical support of specialized systems and product applications including advanced troubleshooting of software driven electronics, provisioning of communication system infrastructure, and performance optimization of RF and broadband architecture including, but not limited to, legacy analog, advanced digital P25, and data infrastructure •Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation with focus on trend analysis and documentation of results •Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system implementation, upgrades, or support issues •Familiarize oneself with the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques •Team with engineering, project management, and sales personnel to effectively design, implement, optimize, and cut over advanced communication systems which meet or exceed customer expectations
•Unique combinations of both strong multi-site RF communications system and computer/networking skills are required •3+ years as an electronic or field technician with one or more of the following: LMR, RF systems, wired/wireless communication systems, networking equipment •Experience with the following equipment is highly desired: Motorola 7.x Systems, Dispatch Consoles, Channel Banks & T1 Circuits, Computer IP Networks & Configuration, T1 Test Sets, TIMS, Ethernet Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers •The candidate must be able to travel as necessary •Must be able to work under pressure and independently, and be able to meet deadlines for delivering quality solutions on time •Candidate must have a clean driving record with no criminal history and be able to pass a drug test
