Be part of an exciting engineering team that is defining the future of Honeywell Navigation and Autonomy products. You will work with engineering leadership assembling, evaluating and improving prototype hardware for future products. Additional tasks include sub-component design, managing the laboratory, documentation of designs and equipment. You will also help coordinate project planning and scheduling, act as a liaison between engineering groups, and provide data reporting for both internal and external customers. · Build and Evaluation – includes assembling circuit boards, building cables, wiring and assembling chassis, completing bills of material, and test and evaluation · Design printed circuit boards from schematics and mechanical drawings, build, verify · Managing the laboratory including maintaining parts inventory, equipment, safety procedures, repairs, project files, property records, and storage to keep a clean user friendly environment
*This is not a production type role - this role will build prototype hardware to research and experiment navigation equipment which consists of both electrical and mechanical but mostly electrical. A person with fine pitch soldering experience would be ideal.
YOU MUST HAVE · High School Diploma or GED WE VALUE · Some experience in laboratory environment with wiring, soldering, electro-mechanical build · Must be fluent in English both written and verbal · Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction and supervision · Ability to solve data problems utilizing analytical skills · Electrical certification preferred · Ability to use ordering and database systems to order and track part
