The Fire Extinguisher & Kitchen Systems Technician is responsible for the inspection, testing, servicing, and/or the installation of portable fire extinguishers, kitchen suppression systems, or other applicable fire safety equipment and systems to include emergency lights all in accordance with applicable fire codes.
Responsibilities: Inspection of fire extinguisher(s) in accordance with NFPA 10 and kitchen extinguishing systems NFPA 17-17A and UL 300 Inspecting and repairing pre-engineered restaurant fire suppression systems manufactured by ANSUL, Pyro Chem, RangeGuard, Kidde, Piranha, etc. Thorough understanding of NFPA, manufacturer and local fire codes for restaurant fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers Perform on-site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems. Identify NFPA code and non-conformance issues. Ability to work flexible schedules to accommodate testing schedules. Prepare accurate and detailed inspection reports daily Maintain a clean safe work environment Maintain first aid cabinets Perform quality work with minimal supervision Other duties as assigned
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Two or more years experience inspecting restaurant fire suppression systems is preferred but not required. We will train the right person. Valid Driver’s License & Clean Background Check Submit for Pre-Employment Drug-Screen and Random Drug Screenings Tech-Friendly Ability to work independently and as a team Flexible(ability to respond to customer emergencies, on all and travel as needed) Ability to work safely and follow company safety rules
