The Operations Training Manager 2 position will be based in Buffalo Grove, Il. Responsible for developing, delivering, reviewing, and evaluating training and development processes and procedures in order to ensure that training programs and initiatives are in line with corporate policies and programs.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
Review and develop Training and Development procedures.
Initiate corrective actions and continuous improvement process to the training systems, processes and programs.
Manage and advise management on related training and development to meet local needs.
Confer with managers and supervisors to conduct annual Training Needs Analysis and revise the company training plan as required for execution.
Compiles data and analyzes past and current year training requirements to prepare budgets and justify funds requested.
Design and deliver customized training solutions based on client requests.
Selects appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role play, and computer-based training.
Organizes and develops training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
Maintain a good relationship with consulting companies and select suitable external resources.
Plan, design, and develop relevant training programs based on renowned approach or methodology.
Develop and conduct evaluation of training performance. Create and manage follow-up action plans that reinforce the transfer of leadership skills from training programs back into the daily work environment.
Identify, measure, and track effectiveness of all training/learning activities.
Keep and maintain all training profiles.
Conducts classroom and On-the-Job Training for operators and technicians when the need arises.
Ensures all operators are trained and certified based on process requirement in a timely manner.
Monitors and follows-up certification and re-certification activities.
Ensures training system and standard compliance at all time.
Participates and performs process/system related training.
Prepares training packages as and when required by the respective projects.
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of training and/or human resources experience, including broad based management and supervision.
Experience creating and implementing training programs using best practice methods and tools.
Experience coaching/teaching others to utilize best practice training methods and tools.
Ability to effectively communicate and interface with individuals at all levels of the organization (shop floor personnel, peers, management).
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Here are a few of our preferred experiences…
Experience selecting, implementing, and maintaining an electronic Training Management System (TMS) or Learning Management System (LMS).
Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining training programs in a manufacturing environment for both direct and indirect labor.
FDA and ISO 13485 experience in medical device, drug, or food/beverage manufacturing industry.
