Rockwell Automation's Sensing, Safety and Connectivity Business is seeking an experienced Firmware Test Engineer to play a key role in evaluating product quality by participating in cross functional teams focused on new product development for the industrial control market. The preferred candidate will design, develop, automate, and execute applications to verify features, functionality and integrity in our products. The preferred candidate will develop and implement test plans and test cases from product functional specifications. Additionally, the preferred candidate will collaborate with developers and other testers to investigate product defects to determine root cause and verify fixes.

Multinational work environment
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other technical field
3-5 years of experience in a Software Design verification or other Testing/Quality Assurance role
Demonstrated scripting capability using Python, C#, or C/C++ language
Working knowledge of software test methodologies and experience with automated test tools
Excellent communication skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently and with people at all levels.
Legal authorization to work in the European Union and ability to travel internationally (10%)
7+ years of experience in a Software Design verification or other Testing/Quality Assurance role
Experience with standard version control systems
Experience with requirements management tools and managing traceability between requirements and test cases
