Provides classroom maintenance, installation, and support services for audio and visual presentation equipment located in University classrooms and facilities. Serves as a member of Clemson Computing and Information Technology's services group. Performs other duties as assigned.
50% - Essential - TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Responds to audio visual and classroom trouble calls. Diagnoses and fixes problems and failures. Assists and supports users of technology installed in classrooms and facilities. Assists users with instructions and operations of the installed audio and visual systems. Connects user laptops and other peripheral equipment. Makes adjustments to personal computer settings to allow them to be used successfully with the installed technology.
25% - Essential - EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE: Installs and sets up equipment used in technology enhanced rooms. Decommissions and removes equipment for room redesigns and upgrades. Performs preventative maintenance on scheduled intervals. Loads computer hard disk images by following established procedures. Installs and maintains classroom computer work stations. Swaps computers, monitors, and hard drives for repairs and replacements.
15% - Essential - VIDEO AND WEB CONFERENCING SUPPORT: Installs, sets up and supports equipment used for delivering distance education classes both on Clemson's main campus and remote sites. Troubleshoot connection problems, equipment failures and issues related to conferencing equipment.
10% - Essential - DATA MANAGEMENT: Maintains records in technology enhanced room database including room locations, installed equipment, and preventative maintenance completion dates. Maintains accurate records and information in an electronic ticketing system.
A high school diploma and experience in computer programming, computer operations, data computer science or electronics technology or a related field. An associate's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience.

Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.
Must be able to carry ladders, climb ladders, raise items above head, pull cables, solder, and read line drawings.
Education - High School or Equivalent Licenses - Drivers License Class D normal Certfications - Certified Technology Specialist Certification- Installation (CTS-1) Work Exp 1+ years
