-Install, appropriately secure, and dress-in all cabling and user desktop IT equipment. -Assist in the integration, installation and testing of Audio/Video/Video Teleconferencing Systems. -Assist in the de-installation, relocation and/or installation of systems. -Support IT cable plant and equipment installation. -Pull, test and terminate CAT 5, CAT 6 and Fiber.
-Installing Audio/Video/Video Teleconferencing Systems and desktops preferred. -CAT 5&6 cabling and fiber. -Interpreting and complying with installation drawings and blueprints. -Using common installation power and hand tools including hand-held saws, drills (including hammer drills), hole punches, levels, crimpers, fusion splicers, and conduit benders. -Must possess the physical ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces. -Record of good workmanship and compliance to standards. -Advanced speed and accuracy when performing tasks such as attaching fiber optic connectors, RJ-45 connectors, and DB type connectors. -Above average speed and skill when performing tasks such as dressing cable installations. so that the finished product presents a well-organized and professional appearance.
Education and/or Experience:
-High School Diploma -Minimum of three (3) years hands on experience as an installer for the Department of Defense and/or major telecommunications services or equipment providers.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
-Valid driver’s license
-Secret clearance required, eligible for TS/SCI clearance.
-Ability to pass government background check and drug test.
Additional Salary Information: Based on contract. Per Diem is paid out to cover daily expenses.
