We currently have an opening for our Inspector - Flight Technician. This position is located in St. Louis, MO at our Aviation Facility at the Spirit of St. Louis Airport. Monsanto’s Global Aviation Operation is an accomplished team that originated in 1946. Since that time, we have been developing a team of aviation and project-based professionals ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service to our Executive Team, Customers, and Stakeholders. Monsanto Global Aviation Operations is ISBAO, Stage III certified.
Responsibilities would include:
Place the safety of passengers, flight crew and ground crew as top priority.
Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair complex aircraft mechanical and integrated avionics systems.
Upload, download, analyze and transfer aircraft databases, software, fault histories and operating systems.
Assist with aircraft specific maintenance IT equipment and software, and Department IT equipment and software.
Assist with towing, fueling and ramp operations.
Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections as required by the aircraft schedule.
Perform specialized aircraft servicing and cleaning and detailing.
Supervise outside maintenance and repairs at MROs and Manufacturing facilities.
Arrange and supervise international repairs and maintenance.
Complete and record all regulatory and certification documentation for maintenance procedures and return to service.
Travel on designated flights as an active flight crew member.
Perform the duties of Cabin Safety attendant in accordance with FACTS and Flight Safety training.
Assist in medical and other emergencies.
Maintain a high level of customer service working with all levels of leadership, employees, and customers.
Attend semi-annual aircraft specific maintenance training and successful testing.
Maintain above average technical and mechanical proficiency and knowledge through on-line and industry specific training.
Maintain situational awareness of aircraft operations and schedules.
Work closely with captains to analyze and correct malfunctions.
Adapt to a flexible schedule which includes weekends and mandatory overtime.
Work with vendors to obtain parts and maintain supplies in department software.
Perform other duties assigned by Director of Maintenance and Director of Aviation.
Valid FAA Airframe and Power Plant licenses
Valid Passport, or the ability to obtain a Valid Passport, is required.
Bachelor’s degree in an Aviation discipline (preferred) and 5 years’ experience; OR, a minimum of 7 years’ experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician / Avionics Technician (high school diploma or equivalent required).
Training and experience with Gulfstream 550, Falcon 900 Easy and Honeywell Epic platforms are preferred.
Awareness of information security and the ability to safeguard confidential information.
Strong safety background. Familiar with ISBAO and SMS protocols, is preferred.
Familiar with ADSB, CPDLC, FANS1A NextGen technologies.
Competent operator of communication electronics. Laptop/tablet/smart phone.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, Honeywell EPIC and Apple operating systems.
Must be detailed oriented.
Flexible and available to work extended hours as needed on-call, after hours and on weekends/holidays.
Must be self motivated and self sufficient working with minimal supervision, and in international environments
Able to provide exceptional quality customer service.
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven record of dependability.
Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Able to learn rapidly developing technologies and willing to apply that learning.
Able to problem solve and make decisions quickly with little or no direct supervision.
Able to travel internationally on short notice
Maintains fitness- to- travel. 3rd class FAA medical or equivalent and vaccinations as required.
