Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Full-time Pharmacist Technician for the Evanston campus.
Temporary Job Description:
The temporary Pharmacist Technician will be a dependable Certified Pharmacy Technician that will process and fill prescriptions. They will also undertake other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure pharmacy runs smoothly.
The Pharmacist duties include:
Greet customers and answer questions
Receive prescriptions and check their validity
Process prescriptions electronically and ensure information is complete and accurate
Resolve issues when they arise
Select the appropriate medications and monitor inventory
Undertake administrative tasks
Proven experience as a pharmacy technician
Experience with pharmacy software (ProPharm)
Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement
Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Outstanding organizational skills
Reliable with a keen eye for detail
Must be Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with valid IL license
MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
