Assists in fabrication, modification, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronics controls equipment, specialized electronic equipment and related devices
Read and understands electrical drawings and specifications and procedures
Pulls electrical wire
Assemble, install, and operate components and objects as directed
Follow detailed specifications and procedures in performing work
Document activities through logging activities in repair and/or trouble-report tracking systems
Understand and follow all safety policies and regulations
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Associate's degree in trade or equivalent combination of some related technical training and two years of experience performing semi-skilled maintenance and repair in the trades area specific to the job duties to be performed; May require working in and around x-ray producing apparatus, radioactive materials, cryogenic liquids and/or other potentially hazardous materials; occasional to frequent lifting of 26 pounds and over is required.
Two years of work experience in areas such as clean room environments and procedures, ultra-high vacuum assembly and applications, chemical etching of metals, ultra-pure water systems, or component engineering and assembly.
