As a member of the Test Engineering team, this position will support daily production testing of electromechanical assemblies through test system software and hardware development, system validation, data collection, operator training, technical support and maintenance. This position will also work with the Quality and Field Service teams to address customer issues related to production testing.
Develop and maintain production test system technology (software and hardware)
Verify accuracy and proper performance of production test systems prior to use
Update test systems to correspond with product development
Validate test systems updates prior to deployment
Document and maintain the design and operation of the technologies to ISO procedure standards
Train team supervisors and operators on use of technologies
Perform upgrades, scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs to system components
Provide on-demand technical support
Communicate test system status changes to relevant personnel
Analyze and report key performance metrics related to test systems
Investigate and correct production test issues that are not identified by the test systems (CAPA)
Identify opportunities for additions and improvements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience with LabVIEW and SQL development
Able to create technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
Basic understanding of LAN / wireless networking
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in relation to software development and electronics testing
Two year technical degree, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field
LabVIEW Core 1 and Core 2 Understanding
Minimum 2 year in electrical/electronic testing or relevant experience
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
The performance of this position requires exposure to manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection are required.
