Responsible for test development and support for new product introductions (NPI), legacy test equipment, continuation engineering product changes, and production support.
Develop and implement cost-effective automated test methods for manufactured electronic product including printed circuit board assemblies and final assemblies. This test equipment consists of electrical, electronic, mechanical measurement and controls, mechanical fixtures and test software which are used in global manufacturing facilities to produce Rockwell Automation products. The desired candidate will have strong software development skills for developing and releasing automated testing for intelligent linear motors and controls.
Interact with engineering and operations groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products and/or components. Investigates and resolves operational / functional problems in conjunction with engineering and technical personnel. May lead and/or support multiple projects/tasks at once.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years related experience
Defines documents, analyzes, performs, and interprets developmental tests for new and/or modified products or product components
Advanced experience with Test Process / Test Procedure creation required
Advanced knowledge of object oriented code practices, coding and thought processes required Advanced programming using sub-class inheritance preferred
Experienced programmer in a variety of programming languages (C, C++, PERL, etc.) with the ability to understand code in an unfamiliar programming language
Knowledge of database usage required Knowledge of database manipulation through code preferred
Experience with specification and implementation of automated test fixtures for board and electromechanical assemblies required
Ability to read electrical schematics required
Experience with system and board level troubleshooting required Knowledge of board and system level diagnostics required
Experience with program management of test process implementation preferred
